Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Uganda

    Welcome to the Pearl of Africa! You will be picked from Entebbe Airport by our professional guide and driver and transferred to your preferred hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 2: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park

    Today we travel to Murchison Falls National Park, which lies at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley, where the sweeping Bunyoro Escarpment tumbles into vast, palm-dotted savanna. First gazetted as a game reserve in 1926, it is Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area, hosting 76 species of mammals and 451 species of birds.

    En-route to Murchison, you will have a chance to stop for lunch, and then proceed to the park as you spot some animals like baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, Jackson's hartebeest in the antelope family and many others. Relax at the guest house in the evening or visit the busy village with lots of crafts.

  • Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Tour to the Waterfall

    Prepare after breakfast to cross the ferry for a morning game drive with your guide, who will help you spot the plethora of wildlife found in the park. You will be able to spot lots of African wildlife; for example: elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelope and many tropical birds. Thereafter, you will drive back to the hotel for lunch. After a sumptuous meal, get ready to take a trip to the waterfall. On your way to the water fall you can stop for a hike to the op of thte falls. This is an experience that brings all the senses into play: watch waves of white water tumble hypnotically through this six-meter chasm, listen to the roar of the water, taste the spray on your face and feel the rock shake beneath your feet. Sheer sensory overload! Don’t dare miss this!

  • Day 4: Morning Game Drive, Travel to Lira

    Today you will cross the Victoria Nile for a morning safari drive to spot different species of animals. You will proceed with a morning game drive and your guide will help you spot a variety of wildlife found in the park. After lunch, we drive to Lira, where we shall visit local food markets, crafts shops and family friends. Experience Uganda among the LRA war conflict survivors guided by Florence Angom. She will give you a presentation about Upendo organization and how people benefit from it through craft making!

  • Day 5: Cultural Learning and Traditional Dance

    Here you have an opportunity to spend time with and hear from war conflict survivors from northern Uganda after visiting the 2002 Barlonyo massacre grounds. After this sad note, we will enjoy the traditional dance group, have a local lunch and also make a basket or mat for yourself before saying goodbye to Ugandan friends. Drive back to the hotel after the function for relaxation.

  • Day 6: Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park

    Today you travel to Kidepo Valley National Park. Depending on time, you may go for a game drive along the Narus Valley, where much of the park's wildlife gathers.

  • Day 7: Nature Walk and Afternoon Safari

    Nature walks can be done at any time of the day and visitors will be able to view different species of animals up close. In the afternoon, we take a game drive.

  • Day 8: Travel to Kotido and Visit the Manyatta

    The afternoon Karamoja experience with Eric, a local guide is exciting.

  • Day 9: Drive to Sipi Falls

    We drive towards Sipi Falls overlooking Soroti and get a panoramic view over Mount Elgon (4300m) by early afternoon. En-route to Mbale, we drive up the mountain road and get a good impression of the plateaus, which is the setting for the three impressive Sipi waterfalls. We are housed in the exciting Casa Sipi Falls Lodge with a fabulous view. In the afternoon we can relax and have time to enjoy a drink and the view of the sunset. Sleep at  Casa Sipi Falls Lodge.

  • Day 10: Hike & Coffee Tour & Drive to Mbale

    After your relaxed morning, we start our hike. You can choose between a short or longer route to the waterfall through fruit plantations and villages. One waterfall is perfect for taking a quick shower and you can even enjoy a cold swim. A longer hike, for five hours, will enable you to hike to all three waterfalls, a cave and the most beautiful scenery while passing through plenty of villages and fruit and coffee plantations. Whichever hike we choose today, will be a beautiful day in paradise. Today you can also participate in the coffee making experience in the nearby village. Drive to Mbale after lunch for an overnight and have dinner.

  • Day 11: Drive to Jinja & Do Boat Tour on the Nile

    After a relaxed breakfast, we drive towards Jinja, a journey that takes about 5 hours, and have lunch in town. We shall also visit craft shops which are adjacent to the restaurant. After lunch, you will take a boat trip on the source of the Nile (rafting is optional). You will have dinner in one of the best restaurants called Two Friends which is a walking distance from the guest house. Here, you can relax at the pool!

  • Day 12: Drive to Kampala and Take a City Tour

    After breakfast, we drive from Jinja to Kampala. We shall have a city tour to visit the local food and crafts markets and Kasubi tombs where they bury the Buganda Kings. Amazing tales will be told about the monarchies in Uganda. We shall also visit Gadaffi Mosque, the second largest mosque in Africa, and later have lunch in Kampala.

  • Day 13: Drive to the Equator for the Water Experience

    We start our tour to the equator. Little known but geographically crucial, the Ugandan equator offers one-of-a-kind adventures to local and international visitors alike. Witness the exotic geographic surprise of the water experiment. See how forces react at 0 degrees, towards the north pole and south pole. Another reason that makes the equator a worthwhile stop is the great shopping bargains. The point has several craft shops and art galleries run by individuals and organizations. These craft stalls sell souvenirs and handmade products. Then you continue with your journey to Entebbe.

  • Day 14: Entebbe Activity Options

    Here, you can choose from optional activities which include visiting places like Ngamba Island to view rescued chimpanzees, the Uganda Wildlife Educational Centre, Botanical Gardens and many others. Thereafter, we shall transfer you to the airport for your flight.
