Ten Day Cultural Tour and Wildlife Safari

This tour is an excellent combination of wildlife safari, cultural tour, and outdoor adventure. Prices are $2,350 per person.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Travel to Jinja

    You will be welcomed at the airport by our representative driver and guide and  be briefed about the safari. You start the journey to Jinja and stay at the Jinja Resort Hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 2: Jinja to Sipi Falls

    In the morning, we have an African breakfast and go for a boat cruise at the source of the Nile. We come back to the lodge for lunch, and travel in the afternoon to Sipi Falls via Mbale district. We arrive in the evening and check in to Casa Sipi Falls Lodge where you will have dinner, enjoy a campfire, and stay overnight.

  • Day 3: Hiking at Sipi Falls and Coffee Tour

    Wake up in the morning for breakfast and smell the coffee! After breakfast you hike to the three main waterfalls at Sipi Falls which takes about 3-4 hours. We come back for lunch at the lodge then later in the afternoon we go for a coffee tour where you will experience the coffee process from the garden to the cup. Afterwards we return to the lodge for dinner and our overnight stay.

  • Day 4: Sipi Falls to Moroto

    Today we start the journey to Moroto via Nakapiripirit which will take you 3-4 hours to reach Kara Tunga Safari Lodge. Here you relax, have lunch, and stay overnight.

  • Day 5: Mountain Biking and Gold Mining

    After breakfast you go mountain biking in the morning and then visit a gold mining community in the afternoon.

  • Day 6: Moroto to Kidepo Valley National Park

     After an early breakfast you start your journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. The drive takes about 6 to 7 hours, and when you arrive you'll have time to relax, have dinner and enjoy a campfire at your overnight accommodations.

  • Day 7: Kidepo Valley National Park - Game Drives

    Enjoy a lovely African breakfast before you go for a game drive to view numerous wild animals like buffaloes, elephants, Jackson's hartebeests, zebras, leopards, kobs and many other antelopes. The game drive usually takes three to four hours. You return to the lodge for lunch and then spend the afternoon participating in cultural walks and dancing. We take an evening game drive where you have the opportunity to view the beautiful scenery of the Narus River plus a diversity of wild animals including buffaloes, elephants, lions, and hartebeests. After the game drive, we come back for dinner and overnight stay at one of three lodges, ranging from budget to luxury.

  • Day 8: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park

    After an early breakfast, we drive to Murchison Falls National Park which lies at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley, where the sweeping Bunyoro escarpment tumbles into vast, palm-dotted savannah. First established as a game reserve in 1926, it is Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area, hosting 76 species of mammals and 451 species of birds.

    En-route to Murchison, you will have a chance to stop for lunch, and then proceed to the park as you spot some animals like baboons, black-and-white colobus monkeys, Jackson's hartebeest and many others. Relax at the guest house in the evening or visit the busy village with lots of crafts. Here also we have several accommodation options depending on your preferences.

  • Day 9: Murchison Falls National Park - Game Drive and Boat Cruise

    After an early morning breakfast, we drive down to the ferry and cross the Nile to the northern sector of the park and start our game drive towards the delta area, in search of wildlife that includes Rothschild's giraffes, elephants, Jackson’s hartebeests, lions, warthogs, kobs, jackals, oribis, waterbucks, patas monkeys and leopards among others. Here also a variety of savannah woodland birds can be seen. We go back to the lodge for lunch and later in the afternoon, we go for a boat cruise on the Nile for game viewing at close quarters as they come to cool off on the shores of the mighty Nile. Here you get the chance to see many schools of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds. We come back to the lodge after about 3 hours, for dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison Heritage Safari Lodge. For an upgrade you can stay at Paraa Safari Lodge.

  • Day 10: Travel to Kampala or Entebbe

    Today is the last day of our safari. We start our day with breakfast and set off for either your accommodations in Kampala or the airport, depending on your flight schedule. Thank you for supporting Bright Safaris Uganda!
