You will start your drive to western Uganda through beautiful green scenery and tea plantations. Over the course of the next seven days you will visit Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Lake Mburo.
You will also enjoy chimpanzee and gorilla trekking excursions.
Day 1 – Kibale National Park
You will start your drive to western Uganda through beautiful green scenery and tea plantations. You will have a chance to interact with the local people during the walk through the market after lunch. You will then have a one-hour drive to Kibale forest, during which you will be able to spot some monkeys, birds and baboons.

Day 2 – Kibale National Park
Today you will have your breakfast at the lodge and prepare for your chimpanzee trek. Kibale Forest National Park consists of around 13 primate species.
While here you will be able to see many of them, such as the wonderful red columbus, grey cheeked mangabey, black and white columbus, l’hoest monkey and of course the amazing chimpanzees.
You will experience our primate cousins today for one hour. The whole trip requires about three to four hours of walking through the tropical rain forest with an experienced guide.
After lunch you will visit the Bigodi swamp for a walk to spot some other monkeys and bird species. You will make your way through nearby small communities where the locals are very enthusiastic to shake your hand and show you their gardens and coffee plantations.

Day 3 – Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast we will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, driving through the crater lakes region of Kabarole.
You will go on a mini game drive as we enter the park and check into the Parkview Safari Lodge. We will have lunch and relax before going on a boat cruise at 3:00pm on the Kazinga Channel
. Here you will view wildlife at close quarters as they cool off along the shores of the channel that connects Lakes George and Edward.
Come back to the lodge in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4 – Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable
Our day starts with a 6:30am game drive in the Kasenyi plains in search of wildlife such as buffalos, kobs, warthogs, elephants, waterbucks, lions, hyenas and on lucky days – leopards!
After game driving for two to three hours, we will go back to the lodge for breakfast, check out and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha sector, where tree climbing lions may be seen.
We will eat a packed lunch en route and then check-in at the Buhoma Community Rest Camp or Silverback Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, at about 7:45am, we will walk down to the visitors’ center for registration and a briefing before starting our gorilla trek.
The exercise may be strenuous as it can involve walking up steep hills – sometimes under muddy conditions. This activity may take anywhere from two to eight hours.
For conservation purposes you are allowed to spend one hour with the gorillas once they are located. Your guide will advise you on how to behave around these great apes.
Later you will come back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 6 – Bwindi – Lake Mburo – Kampala
The day begins early as we go for a morning game drive around Lake Mburo in search of wildlife such as buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, impalas, eland (Africa’s biggest antelope), topis, bush bucks, reedbucks, waterbucks, oribis, bush pigs and leopards (among others).
Later we will return to the lodge, have breakfast and then make our way back to Kampala. We will eat lunch en-route and arrive later in the afternoon.
At this point you can opt to spend another day in Kampala or head to the airport for your journey home or to your next destination.

Day 7 – Kampala
Today’s optional tour of Kampala normally takes about two hours depending on how much you can walk or what your interests are. This is one of the best walks we have in Uganda!
