On this 8-day tour you will visit Jinja, the second biggest town in Uganda after Kampala. It is here that you will find the source of the Nile, Bujagali falls plus a couple of industries. Jinja is situated on the Northern shore of the large Lake Victoria just above the impressive Ripon falls. You will visit the Ssezibwa Falls, a scenic and cultural site for the Baganda people.

Day 1 – Kampala – Jinja

You will be picked up in Kampala and travel to Jinja, the second largest town in Uganda after Kampala.Jinja is situated on the Northern shore of Lake Victoria just above the impressive Ripon falls. It is here that you will find the source of the Nile River, the Bujagali Falls where you will go for a relaxing boat cruise on the beautiful Nile. After the boat rise you will visit a scenic and cultural site for the Baganda people, the Ssezibwa Falls and also stop by the Mabira Forest to see various primates including the mangabey and the red tailed monkey. You will also see a variety of butterflies and birds. You will get a chance to go zip-lining in the forest as well as a short nature walk before proceeding to Jinja. Later in the evening you will check-in at the Nile Porch Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2 – Mbale

After breakfast you will check-out and embark on an exciting white water rafting trip. You will choose from the different levels of experience to go rafting at one of the finest places for water rafting. You may also choose to go kayaking. After your morning rafting trip you will grab a quick lunch and then take off on an afternoon boat cruise. After the cruise you will drive to Mbale. Upon arrival you will check-in at Casa Sipi Falls Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3 – Sipi Falls

After an early breakfast you will take off on an early morning hike to Sipi Falls where there are 3 main waterfalls you will visit. This hike is well worth the effort as it will provide a great vista of beautiful scenery. After the hike you will come back to the hotel for lunch and then visit the local coffee farms and households. You will learn about the entire process of how coffee moves from the farm to the cup. You have the chance to take part in several scheduled charity activities and then return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4 – Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast you will check-out and head north to the world renowned Kidepo Valley National Park. There will be a brief stopover to enjoy the scenery along the winding road. You will stop for a hot lunch and then continue on to Kidepo Valley National Park; passing through Soroti Town and Kaabong. Bordered on both sides by mountains, Kidepo Valley National Park offers an abundance of wildlife especially big cats, buffalo, ostriche, zebra, and a variety of birds. Day 5 – Kidepo Valley National Park

You will rise very early for a sunrise game drive where you will catch the wildlife at their most active. You will return to the lodge for breakfast and then embark on a long game drive where you will spot tree-climbing lion, cheetah, ostrich, zebra, giraffe, elephant, and buffalo. You will also have the chance to take a short hike that will give you a magnificent view of the flat unending landscape. Birding is also another activity available since the park has hundreds of bird species. After your hike, you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the local tribes of the Dodoth and Karamojong; nomadic pastoralists who are almost unaffected by civilization and who live in their traditional lifestyles. You will experience their lifestyle firsthand and also watch some traditional dancing. Later in the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and then settle in for the night.

Day 6 – Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast you will check-out and hit the road for the most beautiful protected area in Uganda, Murchison Falls National Park. You will make a stopover in Gulu Town for lunch and then continue on to the park; entering through the Tangi Gate. You will visit the magnificent falls where you will enjoy and marvel at the mighty Nile River being forced through a seven meter crevice; thundering 45 meters below in a series of cascades that can be viewed at different viewpoints. Later in the evening you will check-in at the Heritage Safari Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. Day 7 – Murchison Falls National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to the ferry and cross the Nile to the northern sector of the park and start your game drive towards the Delta area. The wildlife you will see on this drive includes giraffe, elephant, hartebeest, lion, warthog, kob, jackal, orbis, waterbuck, monkey and leopard among others. There are also a variety of Savannah woodland birds to be seen. In the early afternoon, you will go back to the lodge, relax, have lunch and later go for a boat cruise on the Nile. Game viewing on this cruise will be in close quarters where you get a chance to see hippo, crocodile, buffalo, elephant and a variety of water birds. Later in the evening you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 8 – Kampala

After breakfast you will check-out and begin your drive back to Kampala. Upon arrival in Kampala, you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight home or at your designated hotel. This is where your safari will end.
